Edit
the Config file
The first step, before or after you have uploaded the
software to your web server is to edit the config.asp
file which is located in the /config folder. This tutorial
will cover some of the fields in this file. Please use
Notepad and have it ready to edit your config.asp file.
The Initial
Setup
Next, we'll
run through the Initial Setup. Please have all files
uploaded to your web server and follow along with this
tutorial.
Using a
blank (fresh) database
This tutorial
will cover the steps for using a new database. This
is especially helpful if you intend on using MS SQL
Server.
Editing
the Language File
The language file controls much of the text in our
software. For example, the listing options are set via
checkbox and are controlled by this file. The drop down
menus on the front end of your site also read from this
language file.
Upload &
Re-size Images (for Versions 2.6 - 2.9 Only)
Our software has a time saving, built in function that
allows you upload images, re-size them and create a
thumbnail all at the same time. We know your time is
valuable and we have made every effort to help you utilize
your time wisely and manage your own website.
Q: How do I tell which version of the dealership
software I have?
A: Log into your admin and click News. Just under
the admin navigation you will see a Version number.
Please remember that "feedback" is how our software
became what it is today. We value your thoughts and opinions.
If you would like to suggest a modification to our software,
