National RV Out of Business
December 10th, 2007With National RV shutting its doors, we would like to announce the National RV Liquidation website. This is where National RV dealers can receive help in selling off their remaining new rvs. Below is a letter from corporate at the plant.
Dear National RV Dealers,
It is difficult to write this letter to you, but as you have heard by now, National RV (“NRV”)
has closed its doors and filed for bankruptcy protection. We recognize that may cause
financial hardship and uncertainty for your dealership and your customers, and for that we
are truly sorry. We did everything we could to produce great motorhomes and to stay in
business. Unfortunately, we simply ran out of cash and options.
I am sure you are wondering what this means for the NRV motorhomes in your inventory
and to the NRV warranty. With respect to the units in you own, you are, of course, free to
sell them as you deem appropriate. However, they will not carry any NRV warranty. Other
warranties (e.g., chassis, engine, and appliances), however, should not be affected.
As to the NRV warranty, federal law prohibits us from making any payments to you or to
customers. This prohibition also applies to any other amounts due or owe, including rebates
or spiffs. We are hopeful that any amounts actually owed to creditors eventually will be paid
through the bankruptcy process. However, we certainly cannot make any promises in this
regard. For more information you should consult your own counsel. You will also find
additional information at the following three web sites:
This is a very difficult process. We appreciate the fine relationships we have had with your
organizations over the years, and we will certainly miss working with you. A small staff,
including Scott Degnan, Aaron Greenlee and myself should remain available to you for a
period of time.
Sincerely,
Len Southwick
President, National RV
